 One day during a scuffly she would be hit by a death ray but instead of killing it gave her death powers but to control it she had to get tattoes made of ???? so she wouldn't kill anything she touched.  Eventually she learned she can commune with dead soul that are stuck with the living and would guide them to the after life but 5 thought it was their duty to help her.  The 5 souls stay on her body as tattoes that can detach and move but not when being observed.
